From 1954 until 1962 I lived about a mile from Crawfords / Five points. My family moved to Calif from Arkansas in 1952. Stan's Drive in on Garvey was the big hang out back then. Our next door neighbors owned the pony ride concession at Crawfords. There was no San Bernardino FWY yet. The freeway really changed that part of El Monte. The home where we lived ( 3318 Gilman Road ) is now the site of a large school. Once again thanks for the memories. I am sending your web address to my Aunt who settled in that area in 1942. She is close to 100 and an unbelievable person. Did you know any of the Garnier Family in La Puente ( Suburban Water Systems ) ?
