Wow- this was so cool!  I was born in L.A....in 1952...my mom got polio 4 days before I was born...so I am believed to the FIRST EVER baby born in a closed iron lung to survive along with my mom Pat Raming!
She lived at Rancho Los Amigos Hosp in Downey, CA for 3 years and them moved to Big Dalton Ave in La Puente where she raised her 3 kids...me being the baby.  All those photos bring back memories!!
I went to Van Wig Elementary, Torch Jr. High and Bassett Senior High...all in La Puente, Calif!   My fave is In and Out Burgers in Baldwin Park...was raised on those burgers and when I go home, that's the first
thing I do...is get to an In and Out Burger place  :)   I ate ice cream at Thrifty's for 5 cents ...and I think the grocery store right next door was Food Giant???
I now live in Cary, NC...but I sure did enjoy the stroll down memory lane which was sent to my by sister who still in Claremont, Calif...and has been there since her college days.
She worked at the original Marie Callendar's in Covina ... or West Covina... not sure.  But love me some Marie Callendars
Where do you now live?
Thanks much!
